Why did you disapprove my picture?

We are keen on the quality of profiles. The right profile picture will help you attract more students. You can find examples of valid profile pictures in the administration of your profile. Usually pictures that don't follow our instructions get disapproved.

Why is it mandatory to upload a picture to profile?

A profile picture increases your chances of getting requests and finding new students. It is also one form of validation, that you are a real tutor who is serious about tutoring. It provides some security for us and for the students. Very importantly it helps keep meet'n'learn a high standard as an online platform.

I did not get confirmation email

Check your Junk- and Spam folders in your email inbox, sometimes those kind of emails end up there.

I am not receiving push notifications to my phone or computer anymore

If that happens, just go to your settings on meet'n'learn and you will find the option to activate it again. This can happen due to software updates or if you deleted your cookies.

I do not want to receive emails related to Q&A

I do not want to get open / recycled requests

Can I reject direct requests without an active package?

Yes! You can do that directly from the email you received or in the according conversation on the meet'n'learn platform.

I am not tutoring at the moment, can I stop for a while and continue later?

Yes! You can either set your capacity to full or even deactivate your profile, with the easy option to activate it later on again and have everything ready the way you left it.

Why are students not answering my messages?

Usually it depends on the quality of the answer. So it’s super important to craft a good message with intro - options - past experiences. Just writing your phone N° is never good or enough.

Can I see contact information of students?

No. Due to data protection rights we don’t forward contact information from students and tutors to each other. You can easily ask for those with a message via meet’n’learn.

Somebody anonymously published reference in my profile

Just let the meet’n’learn customer support know and we’ll take care of that.

Published reference is offensive

We are really sorry about that. If something like that escaped our filters and was published, just let the meet’n’learn customer support know and we’ll take care of that.

How do I ask for a reference

You will find options to ask for a reference in the conversation with that student on meet’n’learn as well as on your dashboard of meet’n’learn.

How to hide my profile from google search

Go to settings -> privacy you can deactivate / activate your google visibility. Changes take usually 1-2 weeks. As it has to do with googles own algorithms, there is nothing we can do about it or accelerate that process.

What do you do with my data?

Your data is safe with meet’n’learn and is not given to any third-parties.

I have deleted my profile, but it is still visible in google

After deletion of your profile and all of your files from our servers, it can take up to 2-4 weeks for google to realize that and take you out of their search results. As it has to do with googles own algorithms, there is nothing we can do about it or accelerate that process.

Why pay monthly?

How do I cancel my subscription plan?

Go to settings -> automatic payment you will see your payment plan and can cancel your running subscription easily with only 1 click.

I would like to have a refund

Just write the meet'n'learn customer support an email and we will take care of that. Please do not forget to add IBAN to your message.

Why did you automatically extend validity of my package?

All booked packages activate a subscription at meet’n’learn, to ensure unlimited interactions with students and parents. This is also stated clearly during the booking and checkout process for activating a package. Those subscriptions can be deactivated anytime.

My package was valid until today´s midnight, why did you charge?

Packages are automatically prolonged around 12 o'clock at noon. So a package is usually not valid until midnight of that day, but until noon, so keep that in mind if you want to deactivate your package.

I prefer different payment option, can I pay by SMS or wire transfer?

At meet'n'learn we cover a large variety of payment methods. You can use any of the available payment methods to activate a package.

My payment failed for unknown reason or was not processed, what's next?

Most common reasons of failed payments are expired cards, insufficient balance on your bank account, CVV entered incorrectly, online payment not activated for your card. If non of these seem to be the issue, please contact your bank first.

I would like to do a payout

You can do payouts easily anytime from your dashboard. We are usually processing the payment within 1 working day.

Can I only do payment via meet’n’learn?

No, you can choose any payment method of your liking or just agree to cash payments when meeting for tutoring lessons. With payments via meet'n'learn you get additional security in case of cancelled lessons and much more.

I am looking for a tutor, why did you send me email with tutoring requests?

We found that a lot of students who needed tutoring can also offer tutoring themselves in other lessons that they are good at. That’s why we thought we might ask if that’s the case with you :)

I contacted one tutor, why are other tutors contacting me now?

You checked the box “if tutor doesn’t answer, forward my request to other tutors” when sending the request. That way we make sure that you are successful with your search.

Are you doing a screening of the tutors?

We believe that the best screening system is the students and parents out there. The ratings and references tutors collect throughout their time teaching is visible on their profiles and gives a good outlook on the tutors qualities. You can also see if a tutors profile is verified by the badges on their profile.

I have contacted few tutors, but no one answered

We are doing our best to keep active tutors on the platform, in order to secure a high response rate to your messages. But here is a tipp: Save time and effort and just create one open request. That way all relevant tutors in your area get contacted automatically and your chances of finding a tutor increase incredibly!

How do I delete my request from Google search results?

You can delete your request, which will result in your request not being on Google search results anymore. This may take up to 1-2 weeks due to Google's algorithms to update their results.

How to deactivate my demand and stop getting offers from tutors?

You can deactivate your request. Just log in to meet'n'learn and in your dashboard you see the option to deactivate each demand you created. That way new tutors won’t be able to contact you anymore.

I did a wire transfer to a tutor´s account and he/she does not answer emails or phone calls anymore.

Because we were not involved in the transaction process we can’t help you. But here are some tips: You can try to contact the tutor again. Leave a bad reference on their profile, that makes them reply usually. Next time use meet'n'learn payments and your money is protected from fraud.
